About Us

 My name is Debbie Frierson.   I am the founder of The Scent Junkie.    I started this business in 2002 as a craft project for my son Trey and I to do for fun.  We started with only one  product, "Smelly Jelly"  which was soon to be a huge hit in our town!  Trey and I would make our jellies and  sell them to folks at Christmas and other special occasions.  Sometimes I'd even sell them from the back of my mini van and at craft shows & flea markets!  How crazy that was!   As my son grew, so did our little project.   Trey started kindergarden and I became more involved in Trey's  school. Soon, word got out about what we did.  We started getting more and more orders for our jelly...   Well...we've come a long way since those days.   We've  moved back to my hometown of Grenada, Mississippi to take care of my Mom & Dad.  We had to start from scratch with our business!   (I have to admit that it went a lot smoother that when we first began back in our kitchen!)  (Except this kitchen is way smaller. =)  Trey has officially named himself the C.E.O. of our company.  (he's turning 11 so what else would you expect!)    He tells kids at school about our products and sells 'em like a pro!  My Dad helps out now with orders when they feel up to it.  It's so funny to hear Dad try and  talk to the ladies about Body Butter and Shower Gels!   He's finally getting the hang of it though!  Dad loves to help even if it is a bit  embarrassing sometimes. :)   Things are clicking right along now, we've expanded into other areas of body products.  New products  include our Sweet & Sassy Body Buff,  Cellulite Scrub & Exotic Foot Treatment!  I would have never dreamed that what started out as a fun thing to do with my child would turn into this wild and crazy journey.
